An invitation to:
Members, Sponsors, Exhibitors, Advertises
The Chinese Academy of Sciences, State Forestry Adminstration P.R.China and the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) invite you to Beijing, China 11-16 July 2009 for the International Congress for Conservation Biology (23rd Annual Meeting of the Society for Conservation Biology), it is recognized as the most important global meeting for conservation professionals and students.

Public Exhibition on worldwide conservation stories
To expand the influence of conservation in our everyday life in China even all over the world, publicize the process and progress of conservation around the world, and further promote the conservation of the biodiversity of our planet, we, SCB China Chapter is planning to host a public exhibition on global conservation research during and after SCB 23rd Annual Meeting, June-August 2009 in Beijing.
Because of rapid development and industrialization around the world, every country and every government are becoming increasingly concerned about the impact of this growth on the environment and consequently biodiversity. However, it often seems that only scientists and conservation-minded people are committed to work on bettering the environment. Therefore, it is necessary to allow everyone to discover what conservation is and what the general public can do for our planet. We believe that such an exhibition following the annual meeting will take an important part in educating people.

We are calling for various kinds of conservation science and practices, such as Giant Panda protection in China and global amphibian decline, to name but a few. All conservation materials should be in the form of pictures, posters or films; anything easily understood by those not familiar with conservation science is welcome.
